For the next 6 days; a solid menu diet.
For the next six days I’m going on a solid diet which includes the following everyday, and the order of snacks may be switched, but same food everyday. Let’s see how it works…
Breakfast
1 slice whole wheat bread
1 T peanut butter
1/2 banana
1 container 0% fat Fage Greek yogurt with strawberry and goji
**16 oz water
Snack
1 serving (about 15) almonds
1 apple
Lunch
2 slices whole wheat bread
4 to 5 oz low sodium turkey
lettuce
cucumbers
carrots
**16 oz water
Snack
1/2 C cottage cheese
Berries
Dinner
1/2 C brown rice, cooked pasta, or 1/2 sweet potato
5 oz poultry or fish
Veggies
**16 oz water
Snack
Protein powder shake
**Now the purpose of this diet is to eat healthy foods while each “meal” supplies a full serving of the necessary dietary items; such as, balanced insulin, carbohydrate, and protein intake. As well, a LOT of water during the day. (Goals are posted per main meal). As well eating every 3 hours.
I will be eating this exact menu for the next 6 days, then having a free day, followed by a weigh in. The idea is to see if this type of healthy, solid, protein fueled diet over a staggered three hour period can help me loose weight. Now, my main goal is really to get healthy and make my stomach smaller so I don’t want to eat more. It’s not just about how much, but how smart, and how effective each intake is.
